Family Storytelling: Maine Media workshop

The first encounter with the Media workshop was awesome. Driving in to Rockport Maine on US route 1 on bright June afternoon was great. You can almost see the blue roof tops as you approach on Route 1.

As we drove up right behind the parking lot a movie was being made, there were people with an artistic touch all around. People are friendly and energetic. The organizers are very organized. After registration we proceeded to have dinner which was quite well done.

Promptly at 8:00 PM the Executive Director of Maine Media welcomed us and introduced us to the faculty. He also gave a brief history of the Maine Workshops.We were in a large barn with lots of equipment with a feeling that you were truly in a workshop.

We met are instructor Anne Day from New York. www.annedayphotography.com She impressed with her personality. We know that we are in for an exciting week. The other reassuring thing we learnt was a no questions asked money back guarantee if we did not think the course was as expected.

Needless to say that we are very excited for tomorrow. We plan to meet our group at 8:00 AM for breakfast.
